"One winter night, almost eight years ago, I was in a train from Mumbai to Nagpur. I sat all night in an unreserved coach, filling some pages in a diary. Many more such notes were written in that period as I went from one place to another- sometimes running from a danger, sometimes from myself, and sometimes from the world.
A few months back, I came across those notes while removing old papers. The writing was mine but the writer seemed a distant shadow of what I had transformed to. I completed the diary and connected the dots to the present.
It took me eight years to become a Snake charmer. The world has changed a lot in these eight years, but what I have learnt is far more significant – that the Snake charmers are not born, they are made. That is what Nagbaba had told me once."
